Odd Mall Madness

My second installment of the the Odd Mall features! I bring you Psycho Reindeer!

I first came across them at Bazaar Bizarre this past December. Hilarious designs and I hear their shirt sizes run normal...so I don't feel extra fat trying to squeeze into American Apparel. Bravo, Psycho Reindeer, bravo!

Mr. BF was overjoyed to see the above T-shirt and bought it at Bazbiz! He wears it out of style! So take it from Mr. BF, come to Odd Mall and check out Psycho Reindeer!

Jobs, Schmobs

It's been a tad stressful for me lately. My savings are dwindling and I'm in desperate need of a job!

Stressed Out Necklace by tbomommy

One of my favorite ways to blow off steam is searching Etsy (never mind all those search problems). Then again it's a double edged sword because I remember I can't afford to buy most of the items I fall in love with...soon, soon! I will get that job! Someone will call!

Stress Relief Handmade Soap by SoapStore

I can't complain though! This time of joblessness has given me a lot of crafting time. I am also able to clean a lot. Everyone loves cleanliness! I cook a warm breakfast every morning! Who doesn't love eggs and toast? I stay positive!

Keep Calm and Carry On Ceramic Pendant by leapinglizards

It is important to remember to keep calm and, of course, carry on! I've got another month and then it's time to panic! :)

B. Radley is definitely excited to be at Odd Mall! I thought I would have to wait until the summer for another great craft show! (Bazbiz) There are only something like 12 tables left in the main room, so if you're a crafter check out Odd Mall!

I wanted to do a little showcase of some of the vendors every once in awhile! Fun fun! I'm going to start of with FashionGreenTBags.

Midnight Eyes Reusable Tote/Gift Bag by fashiongreentbags

This talented lady is saving the Earth one T-shirt at a time! I adore the way that her bags still look like shirts! Of course she offers other things like computer sleeves and pouches, but it's the bags I've fallen head over heels for!

Stay tuned for other vendors and mark your calendars for Odd Mall! May 9th kiddos!

I Love/Boyfriend Hate

Our seven year anniversary (dating) is coming up and I've been racking my brain trying to figure out a suitable present for Mr. BF. He's so hard to shop for! He wants more cue sticks...he has six, he does not need more!! Since he's crazy for some nine ball, I searched Etsy for some billiards related items and I found the PERFECT vintage sweater!!!

Vintage Mens London Fog Pool Sweater from thevintagesuitcase

Ok...so maybe this is the perfect sweater for me. Hahaha. Knowing that Mr. BF would hate this sweater, I've decided to tell him over and over again that this is his present. He's getting nervous. I, on the other hand, would wear this every day! I love 80's kitsch sweaters! Perhaps Mr. BF will get this for me!

Mr. Binky

I've been cat sitting for my boyfriend's grandma! Mr. Binky is very old...and I suspect he's not too fond of me...yet. In his honor I would like to share a few kitty Etsy finds!

I love cats... by artfulmosaicsupplies

I do!! I really do!! The sooner Mr. Binky realizes this, the better! I can think of ten different ways to use these cute kitty embellishments! I want!

Fatberd Cat Toy, The Bluejay by casbahkitten

I know my little kitten would adore this! Perhaps I can buy Mr. Binky's love. Bonus! It's made with the sellers own natural catnip! Or it can be made catnip free! I love having it my way...except at Burger King (barf)!

YARN KITTY organic t-shirt by boygirlparty

I have two loves in my life (three if you count boyfriend), knitting and kittahs! I also like pink...so I must have this shirt! Don't you just love boygirlparty's work?? It's adorable!

Hartmann, the Tabby Cat by fing

There are no words! The crazy cat lady in me is dying over the cuteness!! Swoon!

Lucy girl kitty in white by therunnybunny

I have such a crush on therunnybunny's work! Boyfriend doesn't know it yet, but we're going to have a whole wall of these unusual little sculptures! (when I get that job...)

In conclusion...

Mr. Binky, if you're reading this...don't hate me anymore! We can be BFF's!

I Want That!

I don't think I need to explain this one...

I'm a huge Douglas Adams dork! As soon as I get that elusive job, these babies are mine!! Don't know who Douglas Adams is or the significance of these earrings? DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND GO TO FREAKING BORDERS! Thank you.

Create Without Limits?

Yes please!

I decided to give Art Fire a try! I've heard mixed reviews about selling there but, like Etsy showcases, I'm a firm believer is trying something for yourself. It's the only way to know for sure if something works! Not only are the fees killer ($7/month for verified members) but what really got me was that they will be ADVERTISING! Sign me up! Seven dollars isn't going to break my wallet...so why not try it? Here! Check it out for yourself! Register on ArtFire.com

...and so you're not bored, here's a little eye candy! My first listing on Art Fire.

What am I knitting?

I bought this pattern a week or so before Christmas...and I'm just getting around to knitting.

Mr. Abominable Snowman pattern by caffaknitted

It is probably the most adorable thing I've ever seen! Caffaknitted has a handful of other patterns that are equally as adorable, such a talented lady! I'm making mine in blue and grey (simply because I could not find proper white and peach yarns at the local store) and I've already made a small mistake. Nothing huge...I just wasn't paying attention and made the legs a few rows too long. No biggie!

I Still Love You

I waited and waited until that golden moment last night at 10 pm on the HBO. I didn't cheat by watching it online with unreliable internet. You know we're talking Flight of the Conchords, baby! A little eye candy, if you will.

Alright...I don't know if Season 1 was just WAY too good, but this Season 2 premiere wasn't up to snuff in my book. The transitions to songs didn't seem as seamless and the songs themselves....eh...also Angels is an old song! New songs please! What was new wasn't as classicly funny as your Season 1 songs. I can't see myself jamming out to the Femident toothpaste jingle in my car. Although I would love to make myself a toothpaste hat...

I think I'm judging too quickly...there were some hilarious moments. Perhaps Femident will grow on me with time...as other songs have. It was a funny song...I'll admit. (See it's already happening) They had some great new songs when I saw them last year at Town Hall. Soooooo, I'm sure we can expect great things this season. If not, Boyfriend and I will still be trying to visit all FOTC filming locations every time we visit the NYC!

The Most Magical Place on Earth

What is this Disney you speak of? I'm talking about Portland, OR. Let me explain. Every time I find something so cool, so amazing, I must have it....it's from Portland. I've never been...but I can imagine what a wonderful place it must be. Amazing people...colorful neighborhoods...unicorns with rainbows shooting out of their eyes...the streets are paved with cheese...Take this for example!

This lovely print! Allusion - Print by yellena. What she fails to mention in the description is that is an actual view from her bedroom window because Portland is a magical assortment of "organic shapes and tangled lines". I just know it is!

I've long admired imadeyouabeard. I was looking through all her beards and quoting FOTC (you're beard is good...just a compliment about your beard...being good). I happened to look at her location. YES! PORTLAND! Where else could you get an Abominable Snowman Beard?

I really can't pull these types of hats off...but I've always wanted to. If I ever move to Portland, I'm convinced that this kick arse night OWLS - warm WINTER wool earflap HAT - adult MEDIUM by pauladeer will magically suit me and boyfriend will stop giggling like a school girl at me... I'll probably need this in large because I have a gigantic head...*sigh*

How gorgeous is this Blue Felted Ballie Ring by PenFelt? Of course it's from Portland...der! I was staring at this (drooling) wondering how to put my excitement into words...then I read the description. It IS indeed a hug for your finger!

Even the vintage in Portland is a step above the rest! I love salt and pepper shakers to begin with, but these are adorable!! I definitely need these Vintage Owl Salt and Pepper Shakers from bouquet in my collection!

Boyfriend loves Portland almost as much as I do (because of the Food Network specials, hahaha) but lately he's been on a "I want to move to NYC kick". Perhaps I need to hold a Portland vs. New York Etsy battle.

That's right! Good ol' B. Radley! Make sure to stop on by as you'll find tons-o-Valentiney goodness! As you'll see on my little galleria page I'm offering free shipping with a special code! Ooooooh! Take advantage of that because it rarely happens!

Coming Soon!

I though I'd share a little sneaky peak of something waiting in line to be listed in my shop!

These chunky blue beads were a find of the century for me!! I adore them and think they play nicely with the wavy white glass beads (also a great vintage find!). It will be in my shop soon...when? Who knows! One day a magical ray of light will shine down on this necklace and it will be available to you!

Busy Bee

I'm busy busy busy preparing for the Indiefixx Valentine's Day Galleria (much love for Indiefixx!) but I though I'd take a break to share an Etsy find!

How cool is The Wall iron Sconce (lamp) by litterlamps85? Very cool! So cool that it just confirmed my future as the crazy lady with 30 cats, who turns all her appliances into lighting fixtures and only eats frozen dinners. Literally frozen...I can't help it if my microwave is now my reading lamp! MY CATS ARE MY BABIES!!! **calm down...you've got a few more years and a few more cats to go**

Look What I Can Do!

I never said I did it well. Ha! If you live in any region that got dumped with severe snow and cold you'll understand why knitting a hat was first on today's to-do list!

I had some left over chunky yarn from Christmas present scarves. It's not perfect, but I've always loved the lumpy bumpiness of hand knit items. I suppose that's why I've never bothered to improve my technique...

It's a lovely hat though! So cozy, but doesn't make my head all sweaty ( I tested it out of a chilly walk to the post office).

An apology for the glasses being a little thirteen days ago. I can technically wear them all year right? Right!

I Want That!

It's Monday. Even though I'm currently unemployed, there's still something utterly disgusting about Mondays. To bring a little cheer to gloomy Mondays, I like to start the day by perusing Etsy for some loveliness. Fount it!

The Medium Side Tie Park Bag in Navy Blue by gardencris27 is perfect for my case of the Mondays. I'm in love with the little ties on the side! Did I mention navy blue brings out my eyes? As soon as I find that elusive job, it's mine! Or if anyone wants to buy me a little "It's Monday!" present...I'll email you my address!

Fair and Balanced

I make no promises.

I suppose I should say hello. Hello! I won't go into gory details at this point. You'll learn more or less about me as time goes by. I do have an Etsy shop, though. **WARNING-SELF PROMOTION** I sell way cool jewelry here, that's B. Radley...I'm a girl and my name is Bradley (there now, that's two things you've learned about me already)!

I like making pretty jewels out of rando bits of this and that, mainly buttons and vintage odds and ends. Oh, another thing I never really paid attention in English class when we learned proper punctuation and grammar...I'll use spell check, but you're on your own for the rest!

Alrighty, enough of that! What's going on in my shop you ask? Well I got some new rings I'm excited about!

I've grown tired of plain ol' boring ring blanks! I love the look of these filigree style rings! A breathe of fresh air if you ask me. The above ring can be found here.

Stay tuned for more, kiddos!
